Carl
is a Kodak Mentor and part of the speaker team that lectures to other
professional photographers around the country about how he creates
portraits. This allows him to share what he has learned with his
peers and to continue his own education.
"Artistic Elements of Portraiture, the Search for Light, Composition
and Emotion"
This is a program designed to stimulate, energize,
and stretch your imagination. Carl will share his views on
such topics as: composition, lighting, color harmony, and more. He
will show how depth is created; where and how to look for light;
how to make portraits believable and interesting; how to choose the
correct background and how to use it; how to use emotion to enhance
an image;
and how all of these pieces work together to create an artistic image.
This is a lecture style program with slideshows that
will help Carl share his philosophies of artistic portraiture, what
he looks for and what thought-process he goes through when creating
an image. The photographic medium is discussed simply and interestingly
with real life examples and analogies that Carl has experienced so
far on his artistic journey. All levels
of photography will benefit from this program. |
