Eligible students, teachers, faculty members or technical instructors may purchase Nik Software products at a fraction of the standard retail cost, and accredited educational institutions may also qualify for multi-seat site licenses at dramatically reduced prices. Please read the information below for further details about eligibility and verification requirements.

Please note that academic purchases and use of the software must be limited to educational purposes only, and it is not to be used for commercial purposes.

Academic Eligibility and Verification

Any current student who is enrolled full time in a photographic program, any instructors/teachers who teach photography or any faculty member from an accredited educational institution (university, college, technical trade school, or high school) that specializes in or has specific courses or curriculum devoted to photography may qualify to purchase Nik Software products at the academic price. The chart below outlines the eligibility requirements and approved verification items needed to qualify for special academic pricing.

Purchasers at special academic prices must meet eligibility requirements and be verified using our 3rd party service provider for post-purchase verification prior to activating the software.

The academic discount may not be applied or used in combination with any other promotional offerings or coupons.

Volume Site License Program

Volume site licenses are available to qualified schools, colleges and other educational institutions. To qualify the institution must be an accredited public, private, government or state subsidized academic institution that provides full-time instruction. Accredited schools can include, secondary, high school, colleges, trade schools, technical colleges, research institutes and adult education centers.

Locate an Academic Reseller

Nik Software Academic products may be purchased from specialized academic resellers or any reseller who carries regular retail Nik Software products and also offers our academic versions. Academic resellers verify eligibility prior to purchase. Academic versions purchased direct from Nik Software or through retail resellers contain instructions for "post-purchase" verification in the box or in a purchase confirmation email.
