Using Viveza and Silver Efex Pro to create dramatic frozen landscapes in Apple® Aperture™ and Adobe® Photoshop®

In this session Anton Nelson will go through enhancing skies and defining and shaping landscapes using the control points in Viveza followed by working with Silver Efex Pro to create powerful, striking black and whites. Starting with asset management in Aperture 2 Anton will talk about the ingest and organisation of the files with a rundown of equipment used on location and explain the difference between global adjustments in RAW and the advantage of localised editing using control points before going on to look at photo-stiching inside of Photoshop. The session will conclude with a tutorial on the use of Silver Efex Pro and creating stylised monochrome's from colour images with a focus on using film grains and colour filters.

Anton Nelson is an Apple Distinguished Professional in Photography, an Adobe Evangelist for Creative Suite and a Wacom Evangelist for the Intuos 4. His creative work spans illustration, stills photography and videography. In this session you will learn to make the most out of the Nik Software plugins in Aperture 2 and Photoshop as Anton takes you through his recent Iceland project.

Met de vergaande mogelijkheden van de u-point technologie sturen we in Viveza de bestaande sfeer in de foto naar een krachtig eindresultaat. We werken met plaatselijke aanpassingen in kleur, helderheid en scherpte en "schilderen" de foto tot een spannende compositie.

We behandelen het verschil tussen werken met de plaatselijke aanpassingsmogelijkheden in Aperture en de geavanceerde plaatselijke mogelijkheden van NIK Software. We bewerken kleuren foto's maar leren ook hoe je kleurenfoto's met Silver Efex Pro omzet naar krachtige zwart/wit foto's

Ton van der Heide werkt als docent op de koninklijke Academie voor beeldende kunst en veel opleidingen voor fotografie in Nederland.
