Settings Button

The Settings Button provides access to adjusting the preferences of the application. The preferences are separated into different sections. Clicking on the header opens that section and provides access to the settings available.

INTERFACE SETTINGS
Default Language: Sets the language displayed within the interface.

Default Preview Mode: Sets which preview mode to be used when the filter interface is opened. Choose between Single image view, Split preview, Side-by-side preview, or Use Last Settings.

Default Background Color: Sets the background color displayed when the filter interface is opened.

Default Zoom State: Sets the default zoom when the filter interface is opened.
ALIGNMENT & GHOST REDUCTION
Alignment: Determines whether or not alignment is automatically turned on when the Merge Dialogue opens.

Ghost Reduction: Determines whether or not ghost reduction is automatically turned on when the Merge Dialogue opens.

Ghost Reduction Strength: Determines the strength of the ghost reduction algorithm to be automatically set. This control has no effect when the ghost reduction method is set to off.

Chromatic Aberration: Determines whether or not the Chromatic Aberration removal is automatically turned on when the Merge Dialogue opens.

Merge Dialog Preview Quality:
Change the initial preview processing to either be Quick or Precise. This determines the quality of the initial preview, and will not affect the final merged image.
SOFTWARE UPDATE SETTINGS
Software Update Interval: Determines the frequency that the software checks for updates.

Check for updates now button: Forces the software to check if an updated version is available for download.
GPU
GPU Enable GPU Processing: When this is activated, HDR Efex Pro 2 will automatically use your graphics card to assist in processing. If your card is not compatible, this option will be automatically deselected.
IMAGE OUTPUT SETTINGS (Lightroom and Aperture only)
Image Output Format: Sets the file format and/or bit depth for the output image. JPG, 8bit TIFF, or 16bit TIFF available.

Compression Settings: When selecting JPG or TIFF, you will be able to set the amount or style of desired compression.
STACKING (Lightroom and Aperture only)
Automatically Re-import: Imports the output image back into the image library. Only applies to images produced from the Lightroom or Aperture version.

Stack With First Image: Stacks or groups the processed image along with the image series files.
