The Sunshine filter is one of the most advanced filters within
the Nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 filter collection. The Sunshine filter
was designed to add light to virtually any image, while adapting
the light that is being added to correspond with colors that appear
in the image. The end result of the Sunshine filter is an image
that appears as though it was shot on a bright and sunny day. Choose
from various methods for casting and adjusting light in an image
and choose how an image is prefiltered in order to adjust colors
in the image. After making your slider adjustments, the Sunshine
filter uses an automatic multi-stage process to analyze and process
natural color and light enhancements to an image.
Cool Color Reduction: This
slider controls the amount of cool or blue colors that are reduced
in the image, similar to a conventional skylight filter.
Light-Casting Algorithm: Selects the type of sunlight that
is added to the image. This ranges from low contrast, hazy light,
to very high contrast and direct light. An option to turn off the
light-casting algorithm is also provided.
Light Intensity: Controls the amount of light that is added
to the image. If the light-casting algorithm is set to Off, this
control does not affect the image.
Prefilter Strength : Controls the amount of the prefilter
that is added to the image.
Radius: Controls the amount of detail smoothing or haze that
is added into the image to emulate the softening effect of a bright,
hazy day.
Saturation Correcion: Controls the intensity of the colors
in the image.
Select Prefilter: Selects one of 8 color contrast prefilters
that is applied to the image. The prefilters help bring out different
colors and objects in an image.
